New York Giants WR Hakeem Nicks is expected to play on Wednesday, We break down the fantasy implications.
New York Giants wide receiver Hakeem Nicks is expected to play Wednesday, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. Nicks has been recovering from a broken foot and was listed as questionable on the team's injury report. Nicks took some snaps in New York's final preseason game and it has been widely expected that he will try and play against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 1.
Fantasy Impact: This does nothing to change how fantasy owners should use Nicks. Coach Tom Coughlin had said that he expected Nicks to be able to play and this report supports the previous comments. Fantasy owners should probably treat Nicks more like a No. 2 fantasy WR this week but can probably expect more from him as the season goes along. If healthy, he is a potential Top 10 fantasy receiver.
