Bernard Scott has been ruled out of Monday night's game between the Bengals and Ravens. We break down the fantasy implications.
Bernard Scott will miss Monday night's season opener between the Cincinnati Bengals and the Baltimore Ravens with a hand injury suffered early last month, Joe Reedy of the Cincinnati Enquirer reports. Scott has been the backup behind newcomer BenJarvus Green-Ellis throughout the offseason.
Analysis: With Scott out, Green-Ellis may have to take on larger workload in the season opener. Unfortunately, the matchup is not a good one. The Ravens gave up just 3.5 yards per carry last season. Even without Terrelle Suggs, expect Green-Ellis to have a tough time finding running room. Still, he should still see plenty of touches, and if he can sneak in a touchdown Green-Ellis could be a decent RB2.
