Dallas Cowboys tight end Jason Witten is active and will play tonight against the Giants per Chris Mortenson on Twitter. Witten has been questionable for the last month with a lacerated spleen suffered in the first game of the preseason but now appears like he is ready to go after being cleared by team doctors. The veteran tight end has only missed one game in his career and will not miss another one now, getting to go as he had been hoping against the Giants.
Fantasy Analysis: It is still a risk to play Witten after such a long layoff, but he should be considered a starting option and safe to play unless you had drafted him as your backup after the injury news had come pouring out. He's one of the most consistent tight ends in football and is usually good for 80 yards and possibly a score.
