The Browns have confirmed that Trent Richardson will play on Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.
Per Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram, the Cleveland Browns have confirmed that RB Trent Richardson will play in Sunday's opener against the Eagles. The third overall pick has experienced no setbacks or swelling from a knee scope surgery that sidelined him for the whole preseason. Richardson was practicing in a limited capacity on Thursday.
Fantasy Impact: Not that there was any doubt that he would play Sunday, but it's nice to finally get an official word from the coaching staff. That said, don't expect him to carry your fantasy team yet - the Browns still plan to limit his workload at the start of the season. Start him as a RB2 and keep Montario Hardesty handy on your bench.
