St. Louis Rams rookie wide receivers Brian Quick and Chris Givens are unknown commodities heading into Week 1 because of limited chances to play with the starters in the preseason. We break down the fantasy implications.
St. Louis Rams rookie wide receivers Brian Quick and Chris Givens are still waiting to see how they click with Sam Bradford in game situations. According to Jim Thomas of The St. Louis Post-Dispatch, veterans Danny Amendola, Steve Smith and Brandon Gibson are making it tough for the two rookies to move up the depth chart. In the preseason, neither player was on the field with the starters for more than a play or two.
Fantasy Impact: As Thomas points out, both players were drafted to eventually become starters but it doesn't sound like fantasy owners should expect a whole lot in Week 1 against the Detroit Lions. Amendola remains the best bet fantasy wise among the Rams receivers but expect both rookies to eventually get chances later in the season.
