Carolina Panthers running back Jonathan Stewart is listed as questionable for Sunday's game with Tampa Bay. We break down the fantasy implications.
Carolina Panthers running back Jonathan Stewart did not practice on Friday and is listed as questionable for Sunday's game with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Joe Person of The Charlotte Observer reports. Stewart injured his right ankle in a preseason game last month and hasn't practiced since.
Fantasy Impact: If Stewart can't play, it would clear the way for a heavier workload for DeAngelo Williams and could create opportunities for Mike Tolbert around the goal line. The Panthers are deep at running back but Stewart's injury has turned into a nagging problem. Check on Sunday to see if Stewart is active but fantasy owners should feel far more confident in starting Williams as a strong No. 2 running back.
