Carolina Panthers running back Jonathan Stewart is questionable for Sunday's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with an ankle injury he suffered during the preseason. We break down the fantasy implications.
Carolina Panthers running back Jonathan Stewart is questionable for Sunday's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with an ankle injury he suffered during the preseason. Stewart did not practice on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday, so his chances of playing don't look good. Deangelo Williams will be in line for a huge workload if Stewart misses the game.
Fantasy Impact: Against a soft run defense like the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Denagelo Williams will be a borderline top ten back this week if Stewart is unable to play. Both of Carolina's running backs have the talent to be fantasy studs, but the timeshare limits the fantasy value of both Stewart and Williams. With Stewart on the mend, Williams is a must-start this week.
