New England Patriots running back Shane Vereen is officially listed as out for the team's game on Sunday against the Tennessee Titans. We break down the fantasy implications.

New England Patriots running back Shane Vereen is officially listed as out for the team's game on Sunday against the Tennessee Titans. Vereen is dealing with a foot injury and was held out of practice on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Stevan Ridley outplayed Vereen in the preseason and will now get a chance to run away with the starting job in the season opener. Bill Belichick can be unpredictable, though.

Fantasy Impact: Stevan Ridley is a strong play as a running back No. 1 on Sunday. He has a chance to throw a coming out party with full control of the Patriots' backfield and a solid matchup against the Tennessee Titans.
