Mewelde Moore and Delone Carter are on the injury report. We break down the fantasy implications.
Mewelde Moore (chest) put in a full week of practice and is listed as probable for the game against the Bears. Delone Carter (chest) was limited on Wednesday and practiced fully on Thursday and Friday; he is listed as questionable.
Analysis: Delone Carter was a popular sleeper last year, but putting the ball on the turf and an inefficient 3.6 YPC put those sleeper claims to bed. Mewelde Moore is 30 years old, he has touched the ball 708 times in his eight-year career and his ceiling is nothing more than a third-down back. Both of these two are all but useless in fantasy right now. On the other hand, rookie Vick Ballard has looked impressive in camp and preseason and looks to be the best handcuff for Donald Brown. Brown hasn't asserted himself as lead back, so if Ballard really comes on strong and can pass protect, he might become fantasy relevant very quickly. Ballard and his hard-nosed style are stash-worthy in competitive leagues and Donald Brown serves as a low-end RB2 this week against the Bears.
