The Washington Redskins will reportedly start rookie Alfred Morris at running back against the New Orleans Saints. We break down the fantasy implications.
Washington Redskins rookie Alfred Morris will reportedly start at running back against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday, Dan Hellie of WRC-TV in Washington, D.C. reports. Morris is competing for playing time with Evan Royster and Roy Helu, both of whom could also see carries against New Orleans.
Fantasy Impact: Redskins coach Mike Shanahan has been coy leading up to the game about who his starter will be and is notorious for changing his mind when it comes to running backs. This is such a crowded situation with Royster and Helu that it would be difficult to start Morris in Week 1 with any kind of confidence. Morris is a flex play at best for owners looking to fill that spot.
