Javon Ringer (undisclosed) is inactive for Sunday's game between the Titans and the Patriots. We break down the fantasy implications.
Javon Ringer is inactive for Sunday's game between the Tennessee Titans and the New England Patriots, Jim Wyatt of the Nashville Tennessean reports. Ringer was not listed on the Titans' injury report during the week, so it's still unclear why the backup running back is behind held out of the season opener.
Analysis: The news is good for Chris Johnson owners, who can expect a full workload from the speedster now that Ringer is out of the picture this week. Ringer was expected to take on a subservient role anyway, but now there's no doubt the Johnson will see plenty of carries. Johnson should be considered a safe RB1 starter in standard leagues.
