Shane Vereen (foot) is inactive for Sunday's game between the Patriots and the Titans. We break down the fantasy implications.
Shane Vereen is inactive for Sunday's game between the New England Patriots and the Tennessee Titans, according to reports. The Patriots have been mum on the nature of the injury, but reports have indicated that he's suffering from a foot ailment. Vereen was held out of practice throughout the week, so the news does not come as much surprise. Stevan Ridley is slated as the Pats' No. 1 running back for the game.
Analysis: Ridley has much less competition for carries, making it much more likely that he takes on a real workload against the Titans. Keep in mind that Bill Belichick is rarely one to solely rely on a feature back, but Ridley has the size and skillset to be a pivotal part of the Pats' offense. Just hope that fumble problems don't creep up again.
