Fantasy football rankings: Week 6 running backs for PPR and standard leagues

Don McPeak-USA TODAY Sports

We're almost a third of the way into the season and some backs are starting to solidify their value. Check out how we rank the top 50 backs for PPR and standard leagues.

We're five weeks into the season and teams should probably have a good idea of their strengths and weaknesses. If you're one of the "haves" with running back depth, there's a good chance someone in your league isn't, so it's not a bad idea to make a trade.

Although, owners will want to make sure they won't have any bye-week issues. The bye weeks run all the way to Week 12, so if you're going to strengthen your usual starters, make sure there aren't any potential conflicts.

Another big factor is your record. If you are sitting there at 4-1 or 5-0 you can look at the schedule a little more and start preparing for the playoffs. So if another owner has a guy that has an easy schedule to close, you might want to make a move. Preferably, that owner has a sub-par record, so it'll be easier to sell him/her on the idea of needing help ASAP. That's something that few people will admit, though.

Here are the running back rankings for Week 6:
