Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Cecil Shorts catches a pass against the St. Louis Rams - Dilip Vishwanat

Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Cecil Shorts exited the Week 6 loss to the Denver Broncos in the first offensive series. We bring you the fantasy implications here.

Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Cecil Shorts exited the Week 6 loss to the Denver Broncos in the first offensive series due to what was initially termed a shoulder injury. Shorts left before he could make an impact and was only targeted once in the game. The injury was initially disclosed as a shoulder injury and he left the stadium following the game with his arm in a sling. Shorts is supposedly going to have an MRI on Monday so the nature of his injury should become more clear.

Fantasy impact: Shorts had 31 receptions for 411 yards and a touchdown on the season before going down with the injury. The Jaguars offense was also showing signs of life under quarterback Chad Henne. The extent and nature of Shorts injury remains unclear so fantasy owners should stay tuned for the results of Monday's MRI. In his absence, Justin Blackmon was targeted a whopping 20 times Sunday and caught 14 passes for 190 yards. The Jaguars will face the San Diego Chargers in Week 7.
