Chad Henne to start again in Week 7, fantasy value is non-existent

Chris Humphreys-USA TODAY Sports

Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Chad Henne will start Week 7. We break down the fantasy implications.

The Jacksonville Jaguars announced that Chad Henne will make another start at quarterback in Week 7 against the San Diego Chargers. Henne made the start in place of Blaine Gabbert in Week 6, and kept the Jaguars somewhat close in a loss to the Denver Broncos.

That itself is a feat, given that the Broncos have steamrolled every team they've faced this season. He completed 27 of 42 passes for 303 yards with no touchdowns and two interceptions. Obviously, that's not a great stat line, and he needs to be able to find the end zone, but the Jags have definitely done worse this season.

Henne also started in Week 2 and Week 3 when Gabbert was out with a lacerated hand. It's likely that Henne will go rigt back to being the backup when Gabbert recovers from his injury.

Fantasy Impact: Henne does have the skillset to have a good game ... it's just not likely. If you're in a position where you're thinking about starting Henne, then you have some serious issues on your fantasy team. He's not a good option for this week and he's not a good option any week. Pass on Henne, and pass on Gabbert when he comes back, too.
