Vikings running back Adrian Peterson was limited in practice on Thursday due to a hamstring injury, according to Chip Scoggins of the Minneapolis Star Tribune.
Peterson was also held out of practice on Wednesday, but for personal reasons instead of injury-related ones. As of now, there is no reason to believe that Peterson is in any danger of missing the team's Monday night matchup versus the Giants. The likelihood is that the Vikings are managing their superstar's reps as the season progresses.
Fantasy Spin: We'll know more about Peterson's status on Friday once the team goes through its final walkthrough. But as of now, there isn't any real cause for concern over Peterson's status. Even with a Monday night game on the docket, owners can continue to have Peterson penned into their lineups with confidence for the time being.
The Vikings' feature back is fourth in the NFL with 483 rushing yards and trails only Knowshon Moreno with five rushing touchdowns. He remains a high-upside RB1 with a juicy matchup versus the Giants, who are allowing an average of 123.3 rushing yards per game this season.
