The Lions head to Cincinnati to take on the Bengals in Week 7. Both offenses like to air it out, so we could see a lot of points. The matchup boasts the best receivers in the AFC and NFL with A.J. Green and Calvin Johnson, respectively. Plus, they have two great PPR backs with Giovani Bernard and Reggie Bush set to suit up.
Start: Calvin Johnson, Matt Stafford, Reggie Bush
The Lions haven't gotten much out of Megatron, but that could change. He's only caught 24 of his 48 targets and hasn't even cleared 350 yards through six games. He did sit one game out, but this isn't what his owners signed up for. Still, he's an obvious start. On the other hand, Reggie Bush has been terrific and he's adding all sorts of stats on the ground and in the passing game. Matt Stafford should be able to pick apart a banged-up secondary, and this matchup should go a long way for them to get things turned around.
Durham has locked down the Z role for the Lions and his size has helped him get some looks on third down. He's coming off an 80-yard game and could have a repeat performance. Joique Bell is worth a look in 12-team PPR leagues as a flex and his rib injury is a non-issue. Fauria got three targets for three scores, so don't expect that to happen again.
Ryan Broyles has fallen on his face all year and there's no sign of him picking it up, while Brandon Pettigrew has been out-shined by Fauria.
Starts: A.J. Green, Giovani Bernard
Green and Bernard are no-brainer starts this week and both have a chance for massive games. Bernard has a chance to be a top-five back again in PPR formats and the Lions have nobody that can cover Green
Andy Dalton is likely going to air it out, so if he can get some deep balls going, he could be in for a 300-yard day with possibly three scores.
Jones and Law Firm are coming off solid games, but they're far too inconsistent to trust in most cases.
