Thad Lewis predictably sub-par for fantasy owners

Jason Bridge-USA TODAY Sports

The Bills quarterback couldn't get much going. We break down the fantasy implications.

Buffalo Bills quarterback Thad Lewis had underwhelming performance in his second start against the Miami Dolphins. He completed 21 of 32 passes for 202 yards, no touchdowns and one interception. Playing through a moderate foot injury, Lewis's mobility was compromised and could not make many plays.

Fantasy Impact: If there is anything positive to take away from his day, its that he is threw the ball accurately as he completed 65.6 percent of his passes. With a weak supporting cast along factoring in his foot issue, owners could not expect much better than this. Stevie Johnson is his best and only true receiving threat which makes it hard for Lewis to distribute ball around and spread the defense thin. Buffalo also struggled in the running game so there wasn't much going for Lewis.

Lewis has solidified himself as a low-end QB2. Buffalo's issues that contributed to Lewis's stagnant numbers are not going away any time soon. This leaves for little upside for Lewis moving forward. While he has not played poorly for a quarterback his first two starts, owners can do much better for a QB2 than Lewis.
