Eric Decker stars for fantasy owners in loss to Colts

Ron Chenoy-USA TODAY Sports

Decker and Peyton Manning were in sync on Sunday Night Football.

Denver Broncos wide receiver Eric Decker was Peyton Manning's favorite target in a 39-33 loss to the Colts on Sunday Night Football in Week 7.

Decker caught eight passes for 150 yards and a touchdown, while Colts cornerback Vontae Davis was keeping Demaryius Thomas in check for most of the game.

Fantasy spin: Decker has been somewhat difficult to rely on in fantasy football, because there are only so many passes to go around in the Broncos' offense. On Sunday night, however, Decker was the main beneficiary of the high-powered Broncos passing attack. He was targeted early and often and proved to be reliable as ever.

Going forward, Decker is a reliable No. 2 wide receiver in fantasy football with the upside to produce No. 1 wide receiver numbers on any given week. As long as Manning keeps looking his way, Decker will be a fantasy football star.
