Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders caught seven passes for 88 yards and his second touchdown of the season in a 21-18 loss to the Oakland Raiders in Week 8. The touchdown came early in the fourth quarter on a pass down the middle of the field.
Fantasy impact: Sanders is not generally regarded as a fantasy factor, unless you are an owner in a fantasy league that rewards receptions or kick return yards. Even then it's a stretch with quarterback Ben Roethlisberger proving inconsistent throughout this year and the Steelers lacking a running game until Le'Veon Bell came back from injury.
It would have been hard for anybody to predict that the Steelers would be sitting at just two wins after eight weeks, but that's where they find themselves after Sunday's loss to Oakland. Due to the lack of success for the team as a whole, Sanders is only a marginal fantasy option in deep leagues.
He isn't consistent enough to warrant a regular start week-to-week, as his single reception for seven yards against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 7 demonstrates.
