Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson caught 14 passes for a career-high 329 yards and one touchdown in a 31-30 win over the Dallas Cowboys in Week 8. Johnson's 329 yards receiving is the second highest total of all time for a single game.
Fantasy impact: If you were lucky enough to have Johnson in your lineup for the game against the Cowboys, odds are you probably walked away a winner in your fantasy league in Week 8.
What's even more impressive about Johnson's performance is that quarterback Matthew Stafford targeted him just 16 times. Since catching just three passes for 25 yards in Week 6 against the Cleveland Browns, Johnson has amassed a mind boggling 23 catches for 484 yards and three touchdowns in the last two weeks.
After a slower start to the season than most people would have expected, it is safe to say Johnson has reaffirmed his status as the top wide receiver in fantasy football.
The Lions have their bye week in Week 9, meaning that fantasy owners will have big shoes to fill at the wide receiver position before Johnson and the Lions take on the Chicago Bears in Week 10.
