The Miami Dolphins host the Cincinnati Bengals in a Week 9 matchup that features a pair of quality young quarterbacks. Ryan Tannehill is coming off an uneven performance against the New England Patriots in which he completed 22 of 42 passes for 192 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions. Andy Dalton is coming off a monster game against the New York Jets in which he completed 19 of 30 passes for 325 yards, five touchdowns and one interception.
Both defenses have been fairly stingy against opposing quarterbacks. The Dolphins have given up an average of 15.53 fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks, which is good for tenth-fewest in the NFL. The Bengals have given up 16.30 points per game, which is good for 12th fewest in the NFL.
Start or sit: Thursday Night Football seems to provide an uglier brand of football than we normally see on Sunday. The odds seem good that both teams come out focusing on their ground games. Dalton is the better start of the two quarterbacks, but neither is a great option. If you are dealing with a Peyton Manning bye week, guys like Jake Locker and even Terrelle Pryor should have more upside this week.
