Buffalo Bills wide receiver Stevie Johnson has a back injury, and the team has little information to offer on the subject. Head coach Doug Marrone has classified Johnson as day-to-day with the injury, but beyond that, the severity is unknown. Johnson sustained the injury early in the team's Week 5 loss to the Cleveland Browns.
He did return to the game late in the second quarter, but he went to the locker room at the two-minute warning and did not return. He had two catches for 19 yards in the game, and on the season, he has 20 catches for 254 yards with two touchdowns.
Given his day-to-day status, it seems likely that Johnson is able to return for Week 6, but we'll have a clearer picture when practice participation reports and the final injury report come out later in the week.
Fantasy Impact: Johnson is one of few fantasy weapons on the Bills' roster. C.J. Spiller is too inconsistent and Fred Jackson might have trouble keeping up as the season drags on. Quarterback E.J. Manuel is hurt, as well, meaning Johnson will have to catch passes from someone like Thaddeus Lewis. All of this make his fantasy value shaky for Week 6.
