Ben Tate has mediocre fantasy game following news Arian Foster done for the year

Houston Texans running back Ben Tate has only one rushing touchdown on the year - Brett Davis-US PRESSWIRE

The Houston Texans running back rushed 15 times for 56 yards as the team's primary running back in the Week 10 loss to the Arizona Cardinals. We bring you the fantasy impact here.

With Arian Foster deciding to have season-ending back surgery, Houston Texans running back Ben Tate assumed the primary role, but only rushed 15 times for 56 yards in Sunday's loss to the Arizona Cardinals. Tate is dealing with four cracked ribs, but isn't having the impact season generally expected from a player in a contract year. On the year, Tate has 103 carries for 455 yards and one touchdown. He is averaging 4.4 yards per carry.

Fantasy impact: Tate is showing fortitude playing through his injuries, but he isn't having a big impact for fantasy owners. Granted, the Cardinals defense is legitimately good but the lack of production is still concerning. Tate has a chance to make an impact when the Texans face off against the Oakland Raiders. The Raiders are giving up the 19th-most fantasy points to running backs.
