Demaryius Thomas explodes for 108 yards, three touchdowns

Donald Miralle

Demaryius Thomas caught seven passes for 108 yards and three touchdowns on Sunday. We take a look at the fantasy implications.

It's sometimes easy to forget that Demaryius Thomas is the No. 1 receiver in Denver. Sunday reminded all of us how explosive Thomas can be when given the opportunity. Thomas caught seven passes for 108 yards and three touchdowns as the Denver Broncos beat the San Diego Chargers, 28-20. He was targeted more than any other Broncos receiver by a large margin. San Diego has struggled with big-bodied receivers all season, which explains why both Demaryius Thomas and tight end Julius Thomas led the Broncos' receivers on the day. Thomas' three touchdowns now gives him nine on the season. It was just another day for one of Peyton Manning's wide receivers.

Fantasy impact: It was simply Thomas' day to shine, as both he and teammate Wes Welker have been top-ten fantasy wide receivers all season. Thomas' day simply maintains his status as a legitimate WR1 despite the targets he shares on a weekly basis. Thomas and the Denver Broncos will face a challenge against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 11. Regardless, Thomas is a must-start every week.
