Miami Dolphins wide receiver Rishard Matthews makes a catch against the New England Patriots - Stew Milne-USA TODAY Sports

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Rishard Matthews caught eight passes for 77 yards and a touchdown in the first half of Monday Night Football against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. We bring you the fantasy implications here.

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Rishard Matthews caught eight passes for 77 yards and a touchdown in the first half of Monday Night Football against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The second year player was targeted nine times and made the most of his opportunities. With the inconsistent Mike Wallace struggling and Brandon Gibson lost for the year, Matthews is a bright spot right now in the Dolphins receiving corp. Going into the game, Matthews had caught ten passes for 117  yards and no touchdowns.

Fantasy impact: Matthews is an intriguing young player who certainly looks good under the bright lights of Monday Night Football. He is owned in about  1% of all fantasy leagues and is looking very much like he is stash worthy at the least. Grab him while you can if you are looking for wide receiver help. Keep an eye on the young player during the second half to see if he continues his strong effort. With the run game struggling so much, the Dolphins should be throwing the ball a lot to try to move the ball down the field.
