Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson is listed as questionable for the team's Week 12 game against the Green Bay Packers. Peterson is dealing with a groin injury that has limited him in recent weeks, but is expected to make the start against the NFC North rival Packers.
Peterson has missed significant practice time due to said injury, but the seven-year veteran doesn't exactly need every practice to be in shape to play. He obviously knows the offense well as he is the centerpiece that makes it function. Peterson entered the team's Week 11 game against the Seattle Seahawks with the injury, and still carried the ball 21 times.
Of course, Peterson only managed to put up 65 yards off of those 21 carries, but the Seahawks were stacking the box with nothing to fear from Minnesota's lagging passing attack. Peterson should play and should once again be the offensive focus for the Vikings.
Fantasy Impact: Peterson is having a down year by last season's standards, but he's still been among the top backs in the league. Peterson has carried the ball 104 times for 851 yards, good for a per carry average of 4.4 yards. He's a must-start every single week, and especially so against the rival Packers. Play him, unless you hear otherwise early on Sunday.
