Rashad Jennings puts up big fantasy numbers in relief of injured Darren McFadden

Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

Rashad Jennings totaled 176 yards from the line of scrimmage along with a touchdown against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday. We take a look at the fantasy implications.

Rashad Jennings boosted his fantasy value in Week 9 after relieving an injured Darren McFadden early in the second quarter. Jennings rushed for 102 yards and caught seven passes for 74 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 49-20 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. Jennings averaged 6.8 yards per carry through mostly garbage time work as the Oakland Raiders trailed the Eagles all afternoon.

Jennings received the workload as McFadden aggravated the hamstring injury he's been recovering from since Week 5. It's unclear how long McFadden will be sidelined, but Jennings made the most of his opportunities against a soft Philadelphia defense.

Fantasy Impact: As of Sunday, Jennings was owned in just six percent of Yahoo! leagues. That number will surely climb over the next few days as the Raiders prepare for the New York Giants in Week 10. Jennings was clearly a big factor in the passing game with a team-high 11 targets. It's worth noting that Marcel Reece saw just three touches on the afternoon, making Jennings all the more appealing as long as McFadden isn't on the field.
