Aaron Dobson misses practice again Wednesday, fantasy status still in doubt

Greg M. Cooper-USA TODAY Sports

The Patriots wide receiver hasn’t practiced in more than two weeks. We break down the fantasy implications.

New England Patriots wide receiver Aaron Dobson (foot) is scheduled to practice on Wednesday, according to a report by ESPN's Mike Reiss. Dobson hasn't played since getting hurt against the Carolina Panthers back in Week 11.

Fantasy Impact: Dobson's rookie campaign got off to a bit of a rough start this year, as did the Patriots' season as a team.

He looked ill prepared and lost early in the year. He just couldn't get on the same page with quarterback Tom Brady and at some points in the early going, Brady yelled at Dobson on the sidelines.

What a difference a few months can make. Over his last several games, Dobson has proven his talent. He can get open down the field and make some big plays. As a result of that, his fantasy stock definitely got up to a healthy level.

That said, his foot is still in a boot as of a week ago and he's not practicing. Dobson has to be on the fantasy sidelines this week until further notice. With he and teammate Rob Gronkowski (torn ACL and MCL) both out, Julian Edelman is the receiver to add for fantasy owners who find themselves in need this week.
