Quarterback Tom Brady is going to have to whip up some magic in Miami -- he'll be without tight end Rob Gronkowski (torn ACL and MCL) and wide receiver Aaron Dobson (foot) this week. Brady will be reduced to the likes of Julian Edelman and Danny Amendola to move the football down the field. Both can catch a high number of passes, but neither one is the most intimidating in terms of being a deep threat.
Perhaps that honor will go to running back Shane Vereen. Vereen might be listed as a rusher, but last week he proved his value as a receiver. He caught 12 passes for 153 yards in a win over the Cleveland Browns. His lone touchdown came via the ground but it's clear he'll be valuable in PPR leagues this week.
The Dolphins have won three of their last four games. That's largely thanks to quarterback Ryan Tannehill. Believe it or not, Tannehill is actually averaging over 33 yards rushing over the last four games. He managed to pick apart the Pittsburgh Steelers for three touchdown passes in the snow last week. He also has two touchdowns for every interception he's thrown in the last week, proving he's becoming more consistent as the regular season winds down.
Tannehill's play has made receiver Brian Hartline a bit of a wild card option for fantasy owners this week. Hartline has touchdown catches in back-to-back games, doubling his season total to four. He's been targeted at least eight times in all but one of the last five games. That makes Hartline a good sleeper play in leagues that reward receptions.
