Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson will take part in Wednesday's practice session, according to Ben Goessling of ESPN. The Tweet suggests that Peterson will "do some work," which likely means he'll be a limited participant in the session. Peterson is dealing with a foot injury he sustained in Week 14.
That injury kept Peterson out of practice on Wednesday and Thursday prior to that game, but he did test the foot with a limited practice on Friday. He was declared out before the game however, missing his first action of the season. Given that he's practicing on a Wednesday, a day typically considered the least-important practice, it's likely he'll practice all three days this week.
Rest days for veterans and banged up players are not uncommon for Wednesdays, with Thursday and Friday traditionally being the best indicator for whether a player is likely to miss a game or not.
Fantasy Impact: At this point, Peterson seems likely to play in Week 16. The Vikings are well out of the playoff race and the they definitely don't want to risk Peterson sustaining a serious injury, but he'll want to play and given that he's practicing Wednesday, they'll likely let him. Take notice of Thursday and Friday's practices for potential setbacks, however.
