Washington Redskins wide receiver Pierre Garcon had a decent day against the New York Giants on Sunday. Garcon caught nine passes for 61 yards, but did not find the end zone. He was targeted more than any Washington receiver by far, as Robert Griffin III threw his way a whopping 12 times.
The next-highest total was four targets for all of tight ends Logan Paulsen and Fred Davis, and running back Roy Helu. Fellow receivers Santana Moss and Josh Morgan only saw a single target in the game, though both managed to catch those passes.
Garcon has become the No. 1 receiver in Washington, and at times, the only receiver. On Sunday, he was certainly the only receiver to produce, though Paulsen did manage three receptions for 41 yards and the lone touchdown reception for Washington.
Fantasy Impact: Garcon leads the Redskins with 84 receptions for 980 yards and three touchdowns. Sunday marked his third consecutive game without a touchdown reception, which is bad, but at least he's still putting up yardage. Unfortunately, he hasn't broken 70 yards in any of the past three games, either. Garcon remains a solid fantasy option, but teams have either figured him out or just aren't afraid of Washington's other receivers at this point.
