Trent Richardson returned to the shadows of the Indianapolis Colts backfield as Donald Brown emerged with a big performance in the Colts' 23-7 win over the Kansas City Chiefs. Brown finished with 10 carries for 79 yards and a touchdown. He also caught two passes for 31 yards and another touchdown. Brown accounted for Andrew Luck's only passing touchdown of the day. In fact, Brown's two touchdowns were the only touchdowns for the Colts all afternoon. Brown played a big role in the Colts' balanced attack. Trent Richardson finished with just 43 rushing yards. He also caught three passes for 15 yards. Richardson's longest run of the afternoon was just 6 yards.
Fantasy impact: Brown was viewed as a huge gamble after Richardson's strong Week 15 performance. On top of the questionable timeshare, the Chiefs were expected to be more of a challenge in Arrowhead Stadium despite their recent vulnerability against the run. Fantasy owners who gambled on Brown were heavily rewarded. The risky timeshare in Indianapolis will continue in Week 17 against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
