Boldin looked like his usual self, overpowering defensive backs and fighting for the ball with regularity. It's no surprise that he led the team in targets and cashed in on a touchdown from 10 yards out. Quarterback Colin Kaepernick found his hulking receiver on a screen pass, and Boldin marched through defenders for his lone score of the game. He finished with six catches for 72 yards and the touchdown.
Fantasy Spin: Boldin has a difficult matchup ahead versus the Arizona Cardinals and Patrick Peterson, although he won't see as much of him if he remains heavily involved with slot duties. As a result, his upside is not as capped as an outside receiver like Michael Crabtree, and fantasy owners who are still playing in Week 17 can roll with Boldin as a WR3 with upside. After a fast start and a slow middle of the season, fantasy owners can appreciate Boldin coming on strong toward the end, with three out of his last five games with over 90 yards.
