The Week 17 matchup between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New Orleans Saints is a divisional rivalry that will impact the playoff picture. We've got all the fantasy projections for you courtesy of numberFire.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Bucs have had little to play for since the team cut quarterback Josh Freeman in the middle of the season. They also lost star Doug Martin to a torn labrum, which helped to make the 2013 campaign a lost cause in Tampa Bay. Fortunately, there are bright spots on the roster going forward including quarterback Mike Glennon. That said, Glennon is obviously still learning and will be worth a fantasy bench spot against a tough Saints secondary.
When he is able to find the open receiver, Glennon's passes will no doubt end up in the hands of Vincent Jackson. V-Jax is the lone fantasy star on the team's roster. He's scored in two of the last three games and should put up some solid numbers since the Bucs will likely be playing from behind this week.
New Orleans Saints
The Saints put together somewhat of a dud performance against the Carolina Panthers last week. The Panthers defense seemed to man-handle the Saints offensive line and get to quarterback Drew Brees at will, particularly in the first half. The good news is the team's loss last week means the high-powered Saints offense still has to jockey for playoff positioning. That only bodes well for Brees owners.
A solid game for Brees on Sunday probably means an equally good game for tight end Jimmy Graham. Graham will likely see at least a bit of Darrelle Revis this week. He may not end up with a ton of catches or yards in the game as a result, but he's always a threat to score in the end zone. He's bigger than Revis so that will still ring true in Week 17.
