Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 14: Giovani Bernard gets a decent matchup

Gio Bernard gets the Colts on Sunday after being held in check by the Chargers. Should fantasy owners have confidence that he'll get back on track?

Cincinnati Bengals running back Giovani Bernard has been on a bit of a roller coaster ride all season. He was basically the first player to get the public eye on him, with the opening scene of HBO's Hard Knocks focusing on him and his minivan. As the season has gone along, he's put up some nice highlight-reel plays, and he'll get a chance to do that against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday.

Last week, he only had one catch for 9 yards, which has been an area of strength lately. Prior to that, Gio caught a total of 16 balls in his previous three games. On the bright side, he saw 14 carries and had a productive 57 yards. Although, BenJarvus Green-Ellis trumped him in both areas with 92 yards on 20 carries.

Fantasy impact: The Colts and Bengals should get into a decent shootout this week, so Bernard should be heavily involved in the passing game. He projects to be above five receptions and could hit 100 total yards, and should be viewed as a strong RB2 in PPR leagues and a decent flex in standard formats.
