Fantasy football projections, Week 14: Browns vs. Patriots featuring Josh Gordon, Tom Brady and Shane Vereen

We break down the Week 14 matchup between the Cleveland Browns and the New England Patriots.

The Week 14 contest between the Cleveland Browns and the New England Patriots could feature quite a mismatch at the quarterback position. We have all the fantasy projections for you courtesy of numberFire.

Cleveland Browns

Quarterback Jason Campbell has been announced as Sunday's starter, providing a boost for the Browns skill position players. Campbell is by no means a star, but he's steady. One player who is a star though is his No. 1 receiver, Josh Gordon. Gordon has done well under Weeden, Campbell and Brian Hoyer this year. He's the only player on the roster that can put up fantasy points regardless of who's around him. He'll need to be in top form against the Patriots if the Browns have any chance of winning the game.

New England Patriots

Quarterback Tom Brady absolutely went off against the Houston Texans last week. He only needed to complete 19 passes to throw for 371 yards, two scores and two interceptions. The picks didn't help fantasy owners, but the yardage total certainly got his owners bonus points. The Browns secondary is much more intimidating than that of the Texans, but Brady has his team rolling right now. He'll be poised for another solid performance this week.

Besides throwing to tight end Rob Gronkowski in the passing game, running back Shane Vereen will also help move the ball alongside Brady. It didn't take Vereen long to steal back the number one job from teammate Stevan Ridley. That's because he's just as talented a rusher and a much more reliable pass catcher. He's now a must-start as the Patriots' go-to running back, especially in leagues that reward receptions.
