St. Louis Rams
Running back Zac Stacy was basically a complete unknown coming into the season. Going into Week 14 against the Cardinals, he's starting in many fantasy leagues, particularly those more than 10 teams deep. He needs just over 300 yards rushing the rest of the season to eclipse the 1,000-yard mark. There's no doubt he'll be in touch against the Cardinals, but he did get 19 carries last week so he should continue to see the ball a lot.
When Stacy isn't carrying the ball, quarterback Kellen Clemens will have to look for receiver Tavon Austin down the field in order to make things happen. The Cardinals boast a tough set of linebackers and cornerbacks, but Austin's speed is rare. He probably won't get a high number of receptions this week, but the ones he does pick up could amount to a major payoff for fantasy owners.
Quarterback Carson Palmer has his team rolling of late. He should be able to continue that trend against the Rams this week. Palmer wasn't exactly playing like a star in the first half of the season but he is now. He's questionable this week with an elbow injury but coach Bruce Arians expects him to play. The Cardinals and fantasy owners better hope that's the case as Palmer has nine touchdown passes in the last four games.
A few of those scores have not surprisingly fallen into the hands of wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald, who has been hung out to dry in Arizona ever since Kurt Warner retired. But Fitzgerald now has a chemistry with Palmer that the pair worked hard to build in the first half of the season. Fitzgerald will be up against good cornerbacks, but he's big and strong enough to get his share of looks in Week 14.
