Chris Ivory busts out for the Jets in solid fantasy day

Robert Deutsch-USA TODAY

Chris Ivory scored a TD and the Jets racked up the points on Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.

New York Jets running back Chris Ivory scored in Sunday's game against the Raiders, finishing with 76 rushing yards on 18 carries.

His 15-yard TD was his longest play in the game and it was some tough running as Ivory carries a few Raiders into the end zone to give the Jets their biggest lead of the day and their largest lead since Week 4 against the Tennessee Titans.

The Jets have been great on defense all year, especially in stopping the run, but their offense has been abysmal. They ranked 31st in scoring offense and 30th in yardages before today.

In other words, Ivory isn't going to be a mega stud since the Jets are going to struggle.

Fantasy impact: If that didn't help you feel bad about Ivory, maybe Week 15's matchup against the Carolina Panthers at Bank of America Field. Ivory is still going to have his double-digit carries and the Jets will likely just be running the ball more than passing. He'll still be more of a flex play this week and could be an RB2 against the Cleveland Browns in Week 16 as long as he doesn't fall apart.
