LeSean McCoy returns to Eagles practice after Aug. 5 knee injury

Evan Habeeb-US PRESSWIRE

Eagles running back LeSean McCoy returned to action Sunday after sustaining a minor knee injury on Aug. 5. We break down the fantasy implications.

CSN Philadelphia's Reuben Frank reports that Eagles running back LeSean McCoy returned to practice on Sunday after being sidelined with a knee injury.

He was only considered day-to-day, and that prognosis proved true despite being held out of practice for the remainder of last week as well as the Eagles' preseason opener versus the New England Patriots.

Fantasy Spin: McCoy's knee isn't as much of a concern as any potential setbacks regarding his concussion, which kept him out of action for four games in 2012. So far, McCoy has been all systems go in that regard and is in line for a bounce-back season, especially given the Eagles' depleted wide receiver situation. With a lack of depth behind DeSean Jackson, they will need their best player to shoulder the load until they can rely elsewhere.

McCoy is far and away the best player on the Eagles offense, and is worth a late first-round pick. There is no reason to be scared away by what was likely a precautionary measure in keeping him out of action.
