Roddy White has low ankle sprain, only minor concern for fantasy owners

Kevin C. Cox

Roddy White was diagnosed with a low ankle sprain and is considered day to day. We break down the fantasy implications.

Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Roddy White has a low ankle sprain and is day to day, but he's not in danger of missing any major time. NFL Network's  Ian Rapoport says that White would continue playing if this were the regular season, suggesting that it's nothing too serious.

White left Thursday's game against the Baltimore Ravens when he got his feet tangled up with a defender in the end zone.

Fantasy impact: White hasn't missed a single game in his eight-year career, and it doesn't look like that streak will end any time soon. At worst, he might sit out next week's preseason game, but he should be ready for Week 1.

Julio Jones is getting all the hype in fantasy circles right now, but don't sleep on White, who has 1,000 yards in six straight seasons and is as reliable as they come at age 31. He's locked in as a high-end WR2 in most league formats.
