Chris Johnson boosts fantasy stock with another solid outing

Don McPeak-USA TODAY Sports

Is Chris Johnson back to his old form? He ran well again in his third preseason game. We break down the fantasy implications.

Chris Johnson rushed for 65 yards on 11 carries in the Titans third preseason game against the Falcons. Through three preseason games, Johnson has 155 yards on 20 carries.

The Titans run game is benefiting from the additions of Andy Levitre and rookie Chance Warmack. The two guards continue to open up huge holes for Johnson run through. Johnson is averaging 7.75 yards in preseason play up to this point.

Fantasy impact: Is it time to get on board the CJ2K bandwagon again? Maybe that's a bit premature, but he's running like the back who averaged 5.6 yards per carry in 2009.

Shonn Greene came in for short-yardage situations against Atlanta, but there's no reason to worry about him taking any playing time from Johnson in the regular season. While Greene is a threat to take away goal line opportunities, Johnson will still pay off for his owners with his explosive ability.
