Jermichael Finley sits out practice to the chagrin of fantasy owners

Thearon W. Henderson

Packers tight end Jermichael Finley sat out the team's practice on Wednesday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Green Bay Packers tight end Jermichael Finley did not practice on Wednesday, according to Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. There is no official word yet on why Finley was not able to practice.

Fantasy Impact: Should Finley not be able to play for any reason against the Washington Redskins in Week 2, Andrew Quarless is the next tight end on the Packers' depth chart. That said, Quarless didn't appear in any games for the team last season and only has three receptions going back to 2011. Fantasy owners looking for areas of increased production should look at the likes of Jordy Nelson, James Jones and Randall Cobb, rather than count on anything significant from Quarless.
