Owen Daniels limited again, fantasy owners should keep in lineup

Robert Hanashiro-USA TODAY

The Texans are still taking it easy on Owen Daniels. We break down the fantasy implications.

With two injuries next to his name on the daily report, Owen Daniels was a limited participant for the second day in a row in Texans practice. Daniels is currently dealing with back and groin issues.

Despite his status, though, the Texans starting tight end is not expected to miss any playing time in Week 2 against the Titans. Daniels should be in the starting lineup as usual.

Fantasy impact: Another player who often has a red injury mark next to his name, Daniels is simply getting some extra rest after his two-touchdown performance in the season opener. Unless the Texans say otherwise, he will be ready to go on Sunday.

Matt Schaub was forced to go into comeback mode with the Texans trailing the Chargers in Week 1. He probably won't throw the ball as much facing Tennessee, but Daniels remains one of the top options for him in the passing game. He's a fringe TE1 most weeks.
