Dwayne Allen injury update: doubtful for Sunday vs. Miami

Pat Lovell-USA TODAY Sports

Colts tight end Dwayne Allen has been downgraded to doubtful for this Sunday's game against Miami. We break down the fantasy implications.

Indianapolis Colts tight end Dwayne Allen (hip) didn't practice at all this week and has been downgraded to doubtful for this weekend's game against the Miami Dolphins, according to the Indianapolis Star's Stephen Holder. Allen caught just one pass in the Colts' Week 1 win over the Oakland Raiders, though it was for a 20-yard touchdown.

Fantasy Impact: In the last few weeks of last season, it seemed that Allen had become one of quarterback Andrew Luck's favorite targets, surpassing Colby Fleener on the team's depth chart. With all signs pointing to Allen sitting out the Colts' Week 2 matchup, see if you can scoop up Fleener off the waiver wire or prepare to look elsewhere for a tight end you can plug in temporarily.
