Brandon Weeden injury update: No fantasy value this week

Brad Mills-USA TODAY Sports

Brandon Weeden is out for Week 3. We break down the fantasy implications.

Brandon Weeden (thumb) has been ruled out for Week 3's game against the Vikings. He did not practice all week.

It's gone south for Weeden. The team is noncommital in naming him the starting quarterback and Brian Hoyer has a chance to keep the starting job.

Fantasy impact: The Browns are losing everyone. They traded away Trent Richardson and they now have major issues at quarterback. The timing couldn't be worse for someone like Josh Gordon. After a big camp and creating buzz for much of the offseason, his value takes a hit here. Hoyer hasn't had much practice reps with the first team and they're likely going to start off on the wrong foot on the road.  Hoyer is not an option while Josh Gordon is just a flex-type guy with some upside. Vikings D is one of the better plug-and-play options.
