Jacksonville Jaguars running back Maurice Jones-Drew did not have a strong Week 3. Against the Seattle Seahawks, Jones-Drew carried the ball 19 yards for 43 yards and a touchdown. The touchdown was nice, but Jones-Drew's average of 2.4 yards per carry certainly was not.
After the first couple carries of the game, Jones-Drew had negative yardage. He didn't net positive yardage until a few minutes into the second quarter. The Seahawks have a great defense, including strength against the run, but Jones-Drew was expected to perform better than that.
Fortunately, Jones-Drew doesn't seem to have suffered any setbacks during the game. He's been dealing with an injury suffered in Week 2.
Fantasy Impact: Jones-Drew has looked good this season, even if he hasn't quite shown the burst that made him so good over the years. On top of that, he was taking on the Seahawks -- a team that boasts a tough run defense. Given the lack of injury setbacks, we can likely call this game an anomaly and move on to next week.
