Josh Gordon trade rumors: New team could improve already high fantasy value

Hannah Foslien

If Gordon is one of the best receivers in fantasy football now, what would happen if the situation around him improved?

The Cleveland Browns are listening to trade offers for wide receiver Josh Gordon, Adam Schefter said on ESPN's broadcast Monday.

Gordon, who was suspended for the first two weeks of the season, had a breakout game in Week 3, piling up 146 receiving yards and a touchdown to go with 22 rushing yards. The Browns have shown that they aren't shy about trading away top offensive playmakers, so it shouldn't be a shock if Gordon is dealt.

Fantasy spin: Gordon is a top 20 fantasy football wide receiver with the upside to be even better in a different offense. If he piled up that sort of yardage with Brian Hoyer at quarterback and no semblance of a running game to take attention away from the defense, imagine what he could do in a more lucrative offense.

It still feels like a long shot that Gordon would be dealt, but it's worth monitoring for fantasy football purposes.
