Peyton Manning has monster first half: Sets another NFL record

Denver Broncos quarterback set another NFL record in the first half of MNF against the Oakland Raiders - Ron Chenoy-USA TODAY Sports

Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning set another NFL record (yawn) with 12 touchdown passes through three games while passing for 264 yards in the first half alone on Monday Night Football against the Oakland Raiders. We bring you the fantasy implications here.

Stop me if you have heard this before but Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning set another NFL record in the first half of Monday Night Football against the Oakland Raiders with 12 touchdown passes through three games. Manning is having a spectacular season and is on target to throw for 6152 yards and 72 touchdowns. While those numbers may sound ridiculous Manning and the Broncos offense have been virtually unstoppable. Fantasy owners are drooling over his glorious stats.

Fantasy impact: Manning owners are in fantasy football heaven over his production this year. Manning set another NFL record in one half of MNF with 264 yards and three touchdowns. On the season, he currently has twelve touchdowns and 1033 passing yards. The Broncos' offense is operating on all cylinders and Manning is making no less than four of his receivers must start options in all leagues. Not bad at all for the 37 year old quarterback whose career was presumed to be over not too long ago.
