Andre Johnson limited in practice, questionable for fantasy lineups

Bob Levey

Texans wide receiver Andre Johnson is questionable for the team’s Week 4 game against the Seahawks. We discuss the fantasy implications.

Houston Texans wide receiver Andre Johnson (shin) is listed as questionable for the Texans' Week 4 matchup against the Seattle Seahawks. Johnson has managed 25 catches for 258 receiving yards in three games this year, but has yet to find the end zone.

Fantasy impact: After notching an impressive 12 catches for 146 yards against the San Diego Chargers in Week 1, Johnson has seen his production and number of targets drop over the past two weeks.

He has been regarded as an elite fantasy receiver throughout his career, but the one knock on Johnson is that he is injury prone. When adding in the fact that the Texans now have another receiving weapon in DeAndre Hopkins, it's not hard to see why this may be the year we see a noticeable regression in output from Johnson.

That's not a knock on the Pro Bowl receiver, It's just reality. Heading into the game against the Seahawks, it looks like he will be limited -- and he has to face one of the best cornerbacks in the league in Richard Sherman.

Fantasy owners should still start him if he plays unless they were fortunate enough to grab an up-and-coming young gun from the waiver wire. Stay posted on Johnson's status closer to game time.
